Operating Times: As required from 9am The Fremantle Prison provides a fantastic avenue for kids to learn more about Western Australia's past and present. An hour and a half is recommended in order to for the students to get the best possible experience. The visit can include a guided tour, Visitor's Centre, exhibitions, fingerprinting and photographs behind bars. The Prison now has free educational material available to download that supports
the Curriculum Framework for K - 12. Please click
here. Gatehouse Gift Shop Teachers, the Gatehouse Gift Shop range of books features Prison, Fremantle and Western Australian characters and history and the Aboriginal and Australian culture.
