Fremantle Prison — a learning environment of living history.

Length: 1 hour (The gallows is not included for Primary Schools)

The Fremantle Prison provides a fantastic avenue for kids to learn more about Western Australia's past and present. An hour and a half is recommended in order to for the students to get the best possible experience. The visit can include a guided tour, Visitor's Centre, exhibitions, fingerprinting and photographs behind bars.

Gatehouse Gift Shop

Teachers, the Gatehouse Gift Shop range of books features Prison, Fremantle and Western Australian characters and history and the Aboriginal and Australian culture. Your students will find numerous books for their projects. Access the Gatehouse Gift Shop page for more information.
