Not only is Fremantle Prison unique historically it is also a dramatic and appealing venue for functions and small conferences. Take your guests back in time with a convict themed party or enjoy the awe-inspiring surroundings for a formal event. Both historical and beautiful the prison makes a spectacular venue.

Want to hold a Jailhouse Rock? A business social? A conference? A birthday bash with a difference? A wedding? The Fremantle Prison has been used by corporate and community groups and individuals to stage a number of high profile events.

Just imagine a ball held within this historical building! Why not lighten the mood of a conference and have your guests dress in convict clothes and dine in the main cell block! The possibilities are endless.

The Prison's unique design offers a range of exciting and different function options and allows it to cater for any group size whether it is 50 or 450 guests. For larger functions the magnificent grounds can be made available and will cater for up to one thousand guests.

An arresting setting

The prison can also assist you with organising entertainment, souvenirs and much more.


Bookings

Before making your booking make sure you make an appointment to come down and have a look for yourself — the Prison truly defies description.

But if you are unable to drop by then you can make your booking by sending a completed Function Registration and Application form (see below) together with a non-refundable deposit of $250.00. Your booking will be considered tentative until receipt of your registration form and deposit.

Entertainment Options
Add a touch of drama to the evening

If the location alone isn't spectacular enough for you why not help make your event in to even more of a special occasion. Have your guests greeted at the prison gates by a group of professional actors in period wardens' attire who will "order and direct" guests from the moment they arrive on site. Join your guests at the Gatehouse for a pre-dinner drink or have them photographed behind bars in convict gear.

Short-guided tours of the prison can be organised in small groups.
