Main Parade Ground

The Main Parade Ground was originally covered with crushed limestone.  Garden beds, lawns and pathways were added in the early 1900s, where prisoners grew their own vegetables.  Convicts assembled in the Parade Ground before being taken outside in work parties.

Today, the Main Parade Ground is a great starting point for your function and provides a stunning backdrop for pre-dinner drinks.

Due to the uneven surfaces of the Main Parade Ground we are not currently using this space for larger functions. A marquee is required for functions held in this area. Please discuss options with the Functions and Events Coordinator.
